About Me

Healthy living, eating and fitness is my passion, and I live my life with these values as my compass.  My enthusiasm tends to spill over, and so I’m eager to share, inspire, educate and motivate others to live a healthy, happy and clean life.

I started my work career as a CPA and Finance professional on Wall Street.  I worked long hours and had enormous amounts of stress, but didn’t know how to manage it. (sound familiar?)  I was moderately healthy and ate a typical American diet.  Somewhere along the line, after having three kids, my perception and thoughts about what being “healthy” really meant changed.  While I was always somewhat athletic, I started spending more time in the gym to relieve stress and to get fit again post pregnancy. The changes in my body seemed to develop somewhat surprisingly, and I found that I was getting stronger and generally feeling great.  It was exciting and motivating.  I wanted to do more. Learn more.  And so decided to pursue fitness and nutrition full time.

I am a NASM certified personal trainer.  My workout philosophy is to work hard, dig deep to find your inner strength.  Don’t be afraid to push yourself to your perceived limits.  And thats what they are- perceived.  I love to witness the transformation in people, not only physically in their body and appearance, but more in their confidence, persistence and strength.  Worried that you can’t keep up?- Yes, you can.  Are you telling yourself “I can’t do that?”, well guess what…  you can.  My personal workout programs are varied and customized for your specific goals and talents.   I find that many people at times are intimidated by gyms and working out to their full potential.  They are afraid to push themselves past limits.  I believe that by venturing out beyond one’s comfort zone, transformation can begin to fully and truly change someones life.

My nutritional education is from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, where I was trained in more than one hundred dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. Drawing on this knowledge, I will help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.

A little bit more about me is that I am an avid rock and ice climber, and enjoy mountaineering and alpinism. I have summited some fabulous peaks including the Eiger and the Matterhorn. I love being outdoors, and find that nature is a great way to learn about yourself, heal your troubles, and develop ways to grow inside.  I jump at the opportunity to train and exercise outdoors, and find that often a workout in the hills or mountains is so much more fulfilling then time inside stuck on a cardio machine.

Some other unique perspectives I have stem from being a mom of three kids ages 11, 10, and 8.  I know what a struggle life can be trying to manage a family, exercise and healthy habits.  I myself struggle with this daily.  But I love that my kids participate in Spartan races, and enjoy hiking and being active.

I found that my true calling is to encourage and motivate people through fitness and nutrition. I believe that there is a stronger, healthier version deep inside each and every one of us.  Helping you find and develop that is what I am all about.
